Dear Mrs Bird is the debut novel by AJ Pearce, published in 2018 . It was shortlisted for Debut of the Year at the 2019 British Book Awards and was also a Richard & Judy Book Club pick.

I’ve read two Claire Douglas novels so far and have found them to be a bit of a mixed bag. I was disappointed with Local Girl Missing and yet I found The Couple at No 9 to be a really good read.

A Man Called Ove was a New York Times bestseller with over 3 million copies sold. It has also been made into a major motion picture titled A Man Called Otto starring Tom Hanks. I believe there’s also a 2015 Swedish film also based on the book.

The Recovery of Rose Gold first caught my attention when it was featured in Richard and Judy’s Spring 2021 list and became a Sunday Times bestseller. It was the debut novel by Stephanie Wrobel and was published in 2020.
