All About Evie by Matson Taylor was published in 2022 . It’s a sequel to The Miseducation of Evie Epworth, which was a Richard and Judy book club pick.
I really enjoyed the first book and I was pleased to hear there was to be a sequel. Matson Taylor writes with warmth and wit and I was excited to read this one.

Plot
Ten years have passed since the events of The Miseducation of Evie Epworth, and we rejoin our heroine as she’s trying to forge a career in London in the 1970s. Evie, now 26, was working at the BBC as a production assistant until an unfortunate incident involving Princess Anne and a cup of urine meant she had to reconsider her options.
Not only is she now unemployed, but her love life is as disastrous as her career. She feels she really should be in a better place in her mid-20s. After all, Paul McCartney married Linda at 26!
Can Evie find a new career and a new man? Or are her fears of remaining an unemployed spinster forever, really going to come true?
All About Evie Book Review
I’ll start by saying it’s not essential that you read the first book prior to reading this. It very much works as a stand-alone novel but does feature characters from The Miseducation of Evie Epworth. Having said that, I’m glad I’d read the first book because I already loved Evie, back then as a 16-year-old, and now as a 26-year-old.
I felt Matson Taylor stayed true to the character of Evie from the first book and I could well imagine her getting into the scrapes she did. The warmth and wit were still there, as well as that Yorkshire grit and determination.
The book is full of charm and I also loved reading more about Caroline and Digby and how their relationship blossomed.
There were a few sad moments but overall the book is full of humour. It’s a really uplifting read and I loved finding out what Evie’s life in her 20s looked like. I’d happily read a book set in the 80s as Evie tackles life in her 30s!
Overall I really enjoyed it and would happily read more by Matson Taylor.

If you’ve read All About Evie, I’m assuming you’ve already the prequel, The Miseducation of Evie Epworth.
