I’ve read a couple of Harriet Evans novels in the past and they’ve been lovely romantic reads. However, The Beloved Girls, published in 2021, promised to be something different. From the synopsis, The Beloved Girls sounded like a darker, more intriguing story.

I read and loved Eve Chase’s novel The Glass House and how it combined mystery with family drama. It was a Richard and Judy book club pick and I loved how atmospheric and gripping it was.
I knew I wanted to read more books by Eve Chase and so I started with her debut novel, Black Rabbit Hall.
