Homecoming Book Review
Homecoming was my first Kate Morton novel but it definitely won’t be my last. The book is a sprawling family saga filled with secrets and deception, and at its core, there’s a crime that adds an gripping edge to the mystery.
The plot unfolds across multiple perspectives and dual timelines and the shifts in narrative enabled the author to drop hints. Although, just as I thought I had it all worked out, there was another twist I hadn’t seen coming. The plot kept me on my toes, unravelling layer by layer until the very end.
The plot is quite intricate and complex with many characters featuring. I did find it a bit challenging to remember how every character fit in to the story but it was all tied up nicely at the end.
I absolutely loved the setting of rural Australia. The backdrop really brought the story to life and gave it such a vivid, atmospheric feel.
Overall, I really enjoyed Homecoming and will definitely read more by Kate Morton.
