Jo Baker

Longbourn by Jo Baker is a novel that reimagines the world of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice from the perspective of the household’s servants.

As a huge fan of Jane Austen’s timeless wit and keen social insights, I’m always on the lookout for books that capture a similar spirit.

Some retellings are really best to be avoided as not all adaptations of Austen’s works or attempts to capture her style are successful. However there are some brilliant novels that really capture her essence and have become must-read books for fans of Jane Austen.
