The Addie LaRue book was an international bestseller and was nominated for the 2020 Locus Award for Best Fantasy Novel, whilst the film is set to be directed by Augustine Frizzell.

The Night Tiger was a 2019 release by author Yangsze Choo. It was a Reese Witherspoon Book Club pick and also featured on The Big Jubilee Book List.

Yangsze Choo is the New York Times bestselling author of The Ghost Bride and The Fox Wife (coming in 2024).

The Miniaturist was the debut novel by Jessie Burton, released back in 2014. To say it was successful is a massive understatement. It was the winner of the Specsavers National Book Award and Waterstones Book of the Year, featured on the Richard and Judy book club and was later made into a major BBC drama series. …

Isaac and the Egg is the debut novel by Bobby Palmer, published in 2022. It already seems to be hugely successful. I don’t think I’ve come across anyone with a bad word to say about Isaac and the Egg!

The premise was intriguing, and I was delighted to be offered the audiobook via Netgalley.

Once Upon A River is the latest novel by Diane Setterfield, released in 2018. Setterfield is also the author of The Thirteenth Tale, which was a huge success.

I’ve no idea what took me so long to read this book as it promised to have everything I love from a good story – mystery, intrigue and a little bit of magic.

Piranesi is a novel written by bestselling author Susanna Clarke, published in 2020.

Susanna Clarke is the author of the hugely successful novel Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell and Piranesi won the Women’s Prize for Fiction in 2021. It was also shortlisted for the BSFA Award for Best Novel.
