Love on the Brain Book Review
Love on the Brain was another fun contemporary romance from Ali Hazelwood. I always appreciate how she creates smart, dynamic heroines who are both fiercely competent but also flawed and relatable.
Bee is no exception. She’s not just a brilliant scientist but also a deeply human character with insecurities. Her wit and sense of humour make her dialogue engaging and memorable, and her vulnerability adds depth to her character.
I really enjoyed the the dialogue and banter between Bee and Levi. It was sharp and witty, and filled with underlying sexual tension. Ali Hazelwood’s knack for writing engaging conversations shines through, making the interactions between the characters not just believable but really enjoyable too.
Levi, as a love interest, is wonderfully written. He’s obviously attractive, but there’s a depth to his character that makes him more than just eye candy. He strikes the perfect balance between the brooding, mysterious type and the genuinely kind-hearted hero.
Overall, Love on the Brain is a fun read that blends romance with the trials and triumphs of working in STEM. If you enjoy a witty romance with a dash of scientific intrigue, this book is definitely for you.
